Select "Tools" from the streamlined toolbar
Select "Internet Options"
Select "Security" tab
Click "Custom Level..."
Scroll down to “Active scripting”, check “Enable”.
Find "Scripting of Java applets" and ensure that "Disable" is not selected
Click "OK" on all windows

Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.x:
Select "Tools" from the browser menu
Select "Internet Options"
Select "Security" tab
